Our client, a global leader in Original Design Manufacturing (ODM) with a rapidly expanding presence in AI server and infrastructure manufacturing, is growing its Fort Worth, TX operations to support strong projected momentum into 2026. We are seeking a highly skilled Failure Analysis Engineer to join this innovative and fast-scaling team.
About the Role
The Failure Analysis Engineer will play a critical role in improving product reliability and performance by identifying, analyzing, and resolving product failures. This position conducts thorough investigations into complex defects, develops corrective and preventive actions, and collaborates across multiple engineering and manufacturing teams. This role is essential to ensuring high product quality, customer satisfaction, and continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct detailed failure analysis on electronic components and systems to determine root causes of defects.
- Utilize advanced diagnostic tools and analytical techniques to evaluate product failures and prepare comprehensive reports.
- Collaborate closely with design, manufacturing, and quality teams to develop corrective and preventive actions.
- Implement and manage standardized failure analysis methodologies to ensure consistent, accurate results.
- Communicate findings and recommendations to engineering leadership and cross-functional partners.
- Maintain comprehensive documentation of analysis procedures, findings, and recommendations.
- Stay current with industry trends, tools, and technologies in failure analysis.
- Support cross-functional initiatives for product development and improvement.
- Provide expert guidance to junior engineers and technicians.
- Ensure compliance with relevant industry standards and internal quality policies.
Required Education
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Materials Science, or a related field.
- Master's degree preferred.
Required Experience
- 3-5 years of experience in failure analysis within electronics, semiconductor, or related industries.
- Strong experience conducting root cause analysis and implementing corrective actions.
- Hands-on experience with techniques such as:
- Scanning Electron Microscopy (SEM)
- Energy Dispersive X-ray Spectroscopy (EDX)
- X-ray Fluorescence (XRF)
- Familiarity with reliability testing and environmental stress screening.
Skills & Abilities
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex data sets.
- Proficiency with laboratory equipment and analytical software tools.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills to explain technical concepts to diverse teams.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
- High attention to detail with strong organizational and project-management abilities.
- Knowledge of industry best practices in failure analysis and quality assurance.
- Proven ability to document findings and prepare clear technical reports.
